One Human Family: Haiti
Part One: Before the Earthquake
Part Two: The Earthquake

One Human Family

Pax et Bonum Communications is proud to announce the release of the first of the three films in our One Human Family series of feature-length films that will be available as video downloads. The films are set in Uganda, Kenya, and Haiti. Because Gerry Straub is now essentially living in Haiti, we will release the Haiti film first.

The Haiti film is special; it will be divided into three separate films.

Part One will feature life in Haiti just weeks before the earthquake.

Part Two will focus on the immediate aftermath of the earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince in January 2010.

Part Three will explore life in the city over the last six years. Part One and Part Two are now available to be downloaded for $20 for each part. Part Three will be available in December.

The Haiti film is a true masterpiece that vividly captures life in Haiti…without the need for any narration, though it does feature occasional on-camera commentary by Gerry Straub.

The Kenya film will be released in October. The Uganda film will be released in early 2018.

All three films in the One Human Family series are essentially visual meditations on the life of the poor. The films feature never before seen footage shot by Gerry Straub while he was making The Fragrant Spirit of Life (set in Uganda), We Anoint Their Wounds (set in Kenya), and the epic Mud Pies & Kites (set in Haiti).
